Daniel Schuler was born in Überlingen (Lake Constance). After finishing school and social services he studied physics at the University of Constance, later media production at the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt. He graduated as an Irish-German Bachelor of Arts (B.A. honours). In 2008 he became a screenwriting student at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, graduating in 2013. His short films have already been presented on film festivals and short film programs. Besides his studies he worked as an editorial asstistant on projects for the Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft („German Research Society“, DFG), as a game developer, hostel receptionist and school tutor (English and mathematics). Since 2014 he’s been living in Leipzig, working as a freelancing screenwriter most of the time.
